Okay just left message for the supervisor I have been dealing with giving indetail what I feel should be done to resolve this issue, as well as to his boss the brach president. I tried to keep my cool about this while I left the message and think I probably rabled a little. But, as I'm sure some of you can tell I'm a little hot right now. Although being a collections agent doesn't help the temper much since all of what is given to me by my cusotmers, just got given to them without the profanity. So now we shall see what it is they do abnout this. I also recieved a call from the third party that will be doing the repair work or is supposed to, even he states the same thing this is just not right about how they avoid speaking to me and that the problem is just weird. Any way hope no one else has to go through this but once I find the answer to the cause of the whole problem I will make sure I post it for everyone to see.
Okay good news warranty group is paying for the towing and all of that. And my bronco is going to a reputable place for repair where part of their concern will be the cause of the issue at hand. This place does lifts and axle swaps that sort of thing. But Just to see, since I have that stop and go clunk anybody think that might be related to the drive shaft, slapping back and forth and mayba over time has had some impact on the transmission? Also, having a major impact on the pinion bearing. Just my thoughts on this since I have cooled off a little. Just, in my mind this seems to add up.
i would think that a stop and go clunk could be a bad slipjoint on the driveline, bad ujoints or issues with the rear end period which is already known. impact on the tranny though is hard to say. you drive it like a grandpa ( sorry bout that ) so i dont see that causing much.
Yeah, I guess I do drive it like a grandpa, some of the time. I'm just throwing ideas out there I'm still learn about this kind of setup on a vehicle since it is the third for Ford truck or truck for that matter that I have ever owned and driven. Also, the first to give me issues with drive line. I'm still new to the e40d transmission and transfer case as well as the various full size rear axles. Lived in Europe for a long time so dealt with LOOOOOTs of front wheel drives. But the slip joint is what I'm focused on, just seems to be a down point around here for Fords, and I'm just now finding that out.
Okay, I'm sure some of you are thinking oh no here we go again. My bronco is operational again found many issues that had been over lokked before. Turns out that my drive shaft needed replacing pretty shot. causing the pinion to loose its load and caused the pinion bearing to fail and push pinion gear into carrier causing it to split the carrier in half. and also caused the transmission along with eveything else to fail. specifically the overdrive band had burned up due to slipage in the drive shaft and the pinion which caused it to overheat and fault. transmission is rebuilt and drive shaft replaced and rear axle completly rebuilt. So, hopefully if anyone else has any issues similar to what I have gone through then hope this helps.
Yeah me too, but with a baby on the way and all of the issues I've had with it. My wife and I arre thinking of trading it in on something with four doors. (NO MINIVANS) But, I already suggested the four door bronco there are a few running around out here. But, issue is she can't park anything larger than an astro van or so or at least without hitting anything. So, we shall see. I'm thinking of taking her mustang and letting her get and expedition or something like that if not then probably a four door sedan. But, I will end up having a truck.
