were can i get power windows for a 79 ford f150 i really cant spend alot. And about every month or 2 my battery keeps shorting out i hav no clue wat it is.
The only place I know of that makes a kit specifically for our trucks to convert to power windows is Electric Life (www.electric-life.com) I believe they're sold through JC Whitney but they'll run you in the $200 range if I remember right.
Oh, and for the battery, it could be any one of a million things but check this thread out, some great info on possible issues with power and ways to track down the drain: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=44223

good god, a guy leaves for a few months and you guys forget all the stuff he posted! LOL use the power windows from a mid 80's ford pickup. it is an all but bolt in swap. you have to drill a couple of new holes in door where the old regulator bolted in, you have to make a couple of spacers to mount the regulator flat, and you have to file the nylon roller flatter to fit in teh earlier groove but it is a piece of cake and i got power door locks out of the deal too! i used all the wiring as is which is great because it has those accordians in the door jambs. too easy to do and even easier to get parts for. hawkrod
