Question '69 needs engine

My Dad's 352 in his '69 has turned itself into an "oil slinger". He is trying to get his buddy (the owner of the junkyard) to buy him another engine. What would be the best engine to get to put in it?¿ Remember, hes got the welder, the oxygen and acetelene bottles plus the trailer.

A 390 would be a direct replacement.

If you want to keep it "original" then, just rebuilt the 352. I think building a stroker out of it (406) would be cool too.

Try a 390, plenty in junkyards. Look for a family station wagon, better taken care of and most are heavier duty.
