What do you guys recommend for OEM replacement shocks for my 2001 F-150 S'Crew? She has 70K miles and is starting to feel a bit uncontrolled over bumps. I admit I like the Town Car ride the OEM shocks give.
She is a city truck used for commuting and occasionally hauling a motorcycle or home improvement project. I want a controlled ride, but don't need anything heavy duty.
If you do a search in the forum you'll find quite a few opinions on shocks.
Some people here like the Ranchos.
I like Monroe Reflex shocks too. I feel that they help the handling. They do ride a bit firmer than stock though.
The Ford or Motorcraft shocks are good too and usually last a long time.
Thanks Racerguy. I did a quick search before posting and saw a bunch of "which shock should I use for this lift kit" posts. I also saw the Monroes mentioned. I'll look into those.
