I am in the process of changing the plugs and have finished the passenger side and the front 2 on the drivers side. The 2 back on the drivers side I cant seem to find a way to remove the screws holding the COPs down, and then removing the COP and plug without removing the fuel rails. Any ideas are welcome.
Hey corngopher, I haven't done mine yet, but have read many many accounts of others doing the job. Most seem to agree if you have enough swivels, extensions, duct tape and cold beer it's not too difficult to do. In fact the majority of guys say after doing the passenger side, the driver side was a piece of cake (easy for me to say, huh?).
I agree that the passenger side was VERY much a pain. The drivers side looks easier until you get to the back two. I cant even fit a socket back there let alone with a swivel stuck in it. May have to remove the fuel rail. I habe to go to Ford and purchase 2 of the screws that hold down the COP's. Sorta lost them while working on the passenger side...I'll ask them if they have a good solution to the rail question....
Most probably you already solved the problem, but for the benefit of other Expy owners here's a link from "mattstrucks" on step by step instructions on how to replace them spark plugs and save around $400.00.
