replacement side grille vents

I have a 2000 Excursion Limited-- I am looking for a replacement for the side grille vent ( if that is what is called) on the drivers side. I lost it and cant find a replacement anywhere. The Ford garage says that I have to replace the whole entire grille, which is ridiculous when the side pieces are removeable on the Excursions as opposed to the F250-350 etc. Help please!

Call your local "Used Part" yard....
most salvage yards have parts locators now and have helped me with some hard to find stuff....

I sold mine on eBay ... all three pieces. Look at this problem from a different perspective ... now you have an excuse to get an (better looking IMHO) aftermarket grille set.

Thanks for your input guys. By the way, does anyone know how those side pieces pop out? (or is it in).. when i lost mine, I was driving past a golf course and as luck would have it, it was struck just right to pop that baby out. I cant figure out if they pop out or push in to remove.

They push in from the back. You have to remove the grill. I think five screws on top and use a wide flat screwdriver to depress or relieve the push in clamp undernieth. Thats how I did mine. Use card board under the screwdriver to protect the bumper. 2min. tops. good luck
