352 4 brl Intake
Hey guys, I am trying to convert my father in laws 352 2 brl to a 4 brl and i am having difficulty in finding an intake. I was told by a junkyard that a 360 or 390 intake will work. Do any of you know if this is true. I am trying to use a stock intake because it is going on an all original truck (with the exception of power steering) so I want to maintain stock appearance he just wants a little more punch. I appreciate any insight you may give.

ok great, I have thought about the edelbrock but what worries me there is the fact that it is stamped "performer" on it. Do you think it be possible to grind that off? The truck is mainly a show truck with the occasional trip to dinner on Sunday afternoon so I dont want anything too noticable.

Only a ford Man that knows OEM stuff will notice the little stuff.
Like firing order markings, ok some other sharp eyed guys too.
There's 2 390 4-v manifolds here in San Jose ca. pic & pull boneyard.
Those cast iron babys are about 75lbs. My 2 cents I would go with a
stock one. As long as you have a strong back. And It's ture if you do
one thing you'll have to do another and another so it run right, maybe
rejet carb if running to lean or to rich. Do the home work before you
start. Like will you need the 4-v PCV carb plate, type of carb how many cfm an so on.. hmmmmm?

I wouldn't worry about grinding off the Performer 390 logo, if your Dad's truck is all stock then the coil and coil bracket will hide the logo. The Performer RPM will look nonstock because the carb. sits farther back plus it's higher, I'd pass on that one.
On the other hand, you should be able to find a stock 4V manifold for around $10.
