Hey guys im 17 and just got my first truck. Its a 79 F100 with a 302 auto, 4 barr. Holley carb. I dont make much $. But i was wondering what i should do to it next. Im thinking of Headers. But what to do after. Heads and cams? and what kind. Thanks!! I want to be able to burn rubber and smoke my friends 87 Dodge 318.

 

get some hedman headers, and then cam and intake.

 

I agree, and if you have an Overdrive transmission, then a set of taller gears with the above mentioned mods would make for a very fun ride.

 

I just put an electric fan in my F150. It was from an 89 cadillac and works great! Very nice performance upgrade without hurting the wallet at all.

 

it should take the 318 anyway, they suck, i have driven a 2000 dodge with a 318 and talk about no accelleration at all, what a hunk of junk
