Code 44 Thermator Air Control
Trouble shooting a fast idle problem, 1990 5.0 with AOD was 800-1200, I unplug the IAC and the engine continured to run. I adjusted the throttle plate stop completely closed and it continued to idle at about 800. I looked all over for a vaccum leak but found none. I did a code scan and it showed 44 (Termator Air Control System).
Any suggestion on what to start trouble shooting first and how?
