Thermactor Air Control System? help
So I hooked the code scanner up to my truck and it read code 44. The code book says 44 means problems in the thermactor air control system. What in the world does that mean? Please help me. I did the test becuase my engine misses really bad for the first 10 min. of driving then it will dissapear after that. I can not figure it out. 88 302

Thermactor Is Fords Big Word For Air Injection.
Air Injection Is Used On Warmup To Burn Up Excess Fuel In The Exhaust To Lower Emissions On Cold Start Warm Up.
Code 44 Definition Is "secondary Air Injection System Inoperative Right Side."
I Would Look At Air Injection System For Rusted Out Or Broken Backflow Valves At Hose Connections, Or Broken Fittings At Air Pump Hoses. Sometimes Exhaust Flows Back Into Air Injection Sytem Sounds Like Exhaust Leak.
