Bought a new Truck

It is an 85 F150 4x4 300 4spd with granny has 3/4ton rear springs and a 2in lift.
Can yall tell me what axle ratio i have
and what transfer case and the transfer shift pattern please
axle code:H9
Trans code: A

Congrats! Sounds like a winner.

I *think* I know your tcase shift pattern, but I guess it would be better for someone who is familiar with your set up to post.

i just found 2 hi by shifting it then seeing if the front drive shaft would spin don't know where 4 hi really is it has a shift *** from a 2500 dodge
could you tell me the pattern?

Look for a tag on the transfer case... There is a good chance it is a New Process 208 (2H-4H-N-4L)... Post back with what the tag says...

For what it's worth, my truck (1985 4x4) has axle code H9 as well. I always assumed it was a 3.55 Limited-slip.

Other than that, I'll leave this one to the experts.

does the front drive shaft lock so it doesn't turn in 2 hi?

the case essentially is nuetral to the front drive shaft, and the hubs unlocked, the shaft will no longer turn.

this occured to me flip down the sun visor to see if if the shift pattern is there. you'll be able to tell the difference of 4hi and 4 lo. i have the 300 and grany 4 spd. 4lo in first BARELY even reads on the speedometer and the motor is screaming!

for 10 miles to his house with ease?
it feels like it would pull a house down
