I just left my jack on the roadside 200 miles from home after an unexpected tire change and will be going to a salvage yard tomorrow for a replacement.
Does anybody know it the jack is the same for F250 as F150? I would like to keep it located as original with a wing nut attachment to the rear seat frame.
Thanks in advance.
It's the same basic jack has used for the past 20+ years for most of the trucks. Personally, if I was you, I'd get a 4 ton(or so) hydraulic jack and modify the bracket to clamp it down... Those jacks are enough of a PITA to use on a half ton, let alone jacking up a 3/4 or one ton truck.
BTW, where exactly does the factory jack sit in an extended cab anyway? I think mine is long gone...
Should be behind the rear sear on the passenger side. That is where mine is located. Got a 2 1/2 ton hydraulic jack in my box in the bed. It is alot easier to use than the factory jack.
