Has anyone used this lift? If so what problems encountered? Any advice appreciated. 2000 v10 4wd. I am sure this has been asked in the past, but had no luck in findind a thread. Please except my apology if this the case.
I have the same lift on my 2003 F-350 PSD, and it is the best lift i ever had. It rides better then factory due to the tapered springs...make sure you order the "all spring" kit. Im running 37x13.5x18 X Terrains and the only time they rub is when i make a hard left turn, they rub the spring pack just a little,,any questions, feel free to ask..good luck
Thanks bunnycop. That is all I needed to hear. I can by them on Ebay a lot cheaper than BDS. OT: I figured out how to use the search option and (I am embarrased to say) There are a lot of post on lift kits. THIS IS A GREAT SIGHT.
In my experience and those of others, lifted Excursions are prone to serious driveline vibration that has to be corrected. One piece driveshaft and u-joint operating angles being the reason. So be prepared to deal with that.
I've installed a Fabtech 5.5" lift, a Skyjacker 6" lift and now run an Edge 4.5" hanger system. I personally would not go with anything over a 35 " tire with a 6" lift. I don't have exerience with the Pro Comp product.
