FUEL PUMP LOCATION 2000 Explorer

and there is a black box above the spare tire that has fuel lines
running to it. Anyone know what this is? Does it happen to be an out of tank pump?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Jun-02 AT 09:14 PM (EST)]The fuel pump on a 2000 Explorer is inside the fuel tank. Most modern fuel injected vehicles (since the '80's) use in-tank fuel pumps. I,m not sure what your "black box" above the spare tire is without seeing it. I would guess that it is part of the evap system.
