The Excursion needs a new fuel pump

Time to replace the FP on my 2000 Excursion. Does anyone have an opinion of the Airtex vs. the Carter fuel pumps?

Depends on your budget.

Carter pumps definitely have the name and reputation, but also cost more. Airtex is a viable OEM replacement.

I put an Airtex in mt SD about 10,000 miles ago, been fine ever since.

Curious. Did your quit? I suspect mine is going south, just wondering about the reason(s) you are replacing yours.

I can't hear it prime when I turn the key on. AND, the truck won't start.

If you haven't already, check the pump pump relay before you dive into the tank.

I'm pretty sure we did, but I'll check it again before I order. Thats in the box under the hood right.
