made me sick to think I am a fellow Ford truck owner with the others in the forum.
that is kinda of harsh thing to say, about the people that are members of this forum. We get alot of trolls on this site looking to stir the pot, it was his first post and it didnt go over too well...but Bran did come back and state why he posted the way he did....and well....... everyone needs to rant every now and then...but usually its after they have been here "awhile" so please take a step back and look at why some people posted the way they did... this a ford web site and we are pretty proud of it, and sometimes "trolls" can hit a nerve or two....
hahahaha Thanks 2504by497 for defining what a "Troll" was. I had no idea until now and I had thought it was pretty harsh when everyone was using it. I wont get into any details but there was another part to my post where I got real snappy about another post that has also been deleted. Thumbs up to the moderator BTW. Needless to say I was pretty PO'ed about it along with a few other posts that have been removed. Not a pleasant welcome to a new member. I check with the site about 3 times a day so I get to see several posts before they go through the "cleaning process."
Trolls..... thats great.
Unfortunately everyone can make a turd. These units are designed by humans built by humans and their machines, so perfection just doesn't happen, there will always be defects, and for whatever reason when they happen, they just plague the one vehicle. My wife had bought a brand new Contour, and after 25 recalls in a month, dash fire, engine fire, overheating constant, would die if had air on and came to a stop EVERY TIME and sucked a twig up into the radiator which requires the entire nose section to be removed to be repaired, she unloaded it. It happens. I saw it coming down on you, and some are fast to point fingers and claim lies, but they really needed to just sit back, ask why, and chill before going after you. If they weren't satisfied then, different story, but right away? Want to know why I even found this site? DEFECTIVE PARTS!!! Anyone had problems with fuel guages on a Ford truck of the 80's??? THAT"SWHY I FOUND THIS SITE!!! I of course love the environment here, that's why i hang out here so much, so please don't go ballistic on someone right away, give them a chance. Say what you will about GM, but the trucks of the same age as mine don't have the electrical gremlins I deal with. I grew up with Ford trucks, like the style of them but I certainly have issues with them. I'm not blind, but I can deal with the problems. Believe it or not Ford trucks aren't perfect, but what is? All the manufacturers sans a few, have their good points, and all have their downfalls. My beliefs are based on fact and experience, not brand loyalty. I have usually been a "Ford basher" but based on reality, not what someone has told me or my buddy thinks, but it is my opinion, but I also don't get offensive with it. I have owned many Fords over the years have I always been happy with them, absolutely no. I have owned many GM's over the years, have I always been happy with them, absolutely no. Even had a few dodges and japanese and 1 German car, and I guarantee, I can find something on each one that just ticks me off. I come here because of the info, and to help others with my knowledge, and the general camaraderie of the place, please don't destroy that. This recent action was the first I had seen since joining in February, and was happy with it for that reason. We are such a large site that it is amazing it is kept under control as it is, and I for one am proud of that fact. I have seen a number of threads removed, and I don't argue the necessity, but it is done to preserve the atmosphere that I enjoy so much. Ok, rant off. Later!! BTW, welcome to the site, and don't let this one experience turn you off, it isn't the norm for us here.
Trying to, just gotta have the few... Just a commentary that I hope the individuals will take notice to, and keep this site the happy place it is... Find a happy place, Find a happy place.......
I know and appreciate that, it looks like the offending posts are gone, would be a good thing. But that's why i'm a regular, it is a generally friendly site. Thanks for watching!!!
This is a fun site, and 99% of the posters are good people, some i don't agree with, but i like them as well....and as far as trolls go....well really good ones spice things up a bit... the really bad ones...that have no sense, and just cause trouble for other's , they disappear quickly
Eric and the other's do there best to keep things running smoothly. but it takes a group effort to make this site what it is.......
and yes even trolls are a welcomed here once an while..just the good ones, somewhere there,s a good pic of one, that was posted recently....
look i said already that i was just rannting and raveing and ment nothing by it. if you cant get over that thats to bad because i have already apoligized. no i wont go to another dodge site and cry just because i now own a dodge. i still love fords always have always will but like i said these last two have given me nothin but trouble thats all i said. so let it go and move on. so here you go just this once from a now dodge and ford owner wha wwwwaaaaaaa wha wha!!! I hope that is enogh whining for ya.
So you can't handle bashing fords in the public forums you have to send me a private message?
You might wanna grow up a little before you continue to post here, we like to resemble mature adults.
