on my old ranger it had a center console that was similar, but didnt feel quite as sturdy as this one, and it never warped...but dont put your weight on it when u get in or out, and then it should be fine
I found a bath towel that matches my tan interior. I use that on the console. It started out as a wipe up, dust off towel, while traveling. On top the arm rest was a good place to store it.
I wouldn't know how to remedy this situation. TOO damn hot here in South Texas to even try to use the middle console as an arm rest, especially having an FX4 with a black console - That sucker gets big time - H - O - T.......
Ya I've never seen "captains seats" without an arm rest! My old silverado's captains with the arm rests were much more comfortable than this 04 f150. I guess ford captains don't have a right arms, I dono.
Anyone with the FX4 flo-thru ever thought about pricing the lid for the Lariat? I assume they are the same size and operate the same way, the Lariat's lid just happens to be covered with leather (atleast it looks like leather), while our's in the FX4 is just a rubbery plastic. I wonder if the blacks would match up though?
I sort of prefer the semi non-skid lid/cover on the FX4. I frequently rest things on the cover and as long as you're not too rambunctious, they stay in place. If it were leather or any other smooth/hard surface, they would slide off. I do have to admit the leather would look a lot classier though.
