Unbelieveably so. The customer service is excellent! I have owned three (usa 200, usa 150 xterminator and the 1000x ) and quite frankly i hammered them relentlessly with never a failure. Very very good choice. This is money well spent by anyone, this is an amp you can own for years.
Im surprised you didnt add Dayton. Maybe i should get you a job at Parts Express instead.
i have 4.5 cl's and 7" PL's that have never seen power for sale. Cheap! Part of a "im gonna build my own xover" project that never happened.
I tried the brahma sealed in the 40 split in my truck, it worked well, but didnt like the small enclosure with 1000w and i kept ripping surrounds. They were the Mark 1's and had lead slap issues as well. Im a car audio ho, so i moved to other subs before trying the m2's. The recones are only 99 plus shipping and you get a new sub back....choice of size. Warranty or not. Cant beat that.
JL Audio amps and subs aren't the best??? That doesn't make sense since the inception of JL as a company their woffers have been at the top of the heap for a while now and have brought home numerous trophies. Their amplifiers are also now a force to be reckoned with. CEA compliant and underrated. What I've noticed when shopping around for amps (even though I only buy JL) is you pay about a dollar per RMS watt. 1200 W max amp for $300...humm...you're probably only getting 300 W RMS at best and will probably never reach that 1200 W plateau. just my .02
Nope they arent the best. Helix, Brax, Sinfoni, US, Zapco and a few others excell at amps and there are louder and cleaner subs. JL is best at marketing. Great stuff, but overpriced at a dollar a watt. ( I base my opinion solely upon actual sales and ownership....JL XRS, 500/1 300/4 12w7 12w6's 15w3's and 10w0's) Sans gettin another w7 or maybe the 300/4 i see no other reason to go the JL route again.
Just a sidenote, i notice you said CEA compliant. Were you aware that was at 14.4v? A car, stock, does 13.8 or so, or less. Which means you wont see all of what they say they do....AGAIN! But close!
LOL, I forgot about Dayton. I have listened to the Brahma and really liked it. Not sure what version it was. The SQ was fantastic and the output was great. Way more than I need, though.
I take back what I said about you not knowing what those names are

IMO its the only sub that can compete head to head with the w7.
dang guys you are sure serious about your tunes!!!I got the lightning audio package, converter box. What a major pain in the @$$!!!!!Took all DANG day to install. The hardest part was figuring out speaker wires for running to converter box.Anyway got hooked up and it sounds just fine for my application.I may go to something better someday but for now this will do(if it don't blow up).thanks for response........Rock On!!!!!
I like the Eclipse subs, Ti's and Alum's. i want that usamp bad! i just dont want to buy it, then get pulled over for 'Loud Music'. Believe it or not, i've gotten pulled over 3 times with that LB! Must depend on the cop...

Anyone heard of AudioPipe brand subs? I have a pair of 12's rated at 750max 375rms SVC. I got them for free brand new. Anyone think i overpaid?
Yea i need some dynamat. My roof rattles like crazy at fq's around 40-50hz. I dont know if i can dynamat the roof tho.

Yes, i will be hitting mine soon. Second Skin would be cheaper. There are even a few product at Lowe's, HD, or Menards that can be used as well. Curb flashing and this roofing stuff called fire and ice....err something. I use Second Skin, same stuff, better price.
Ive kinda got this rule about certain brands. There is a company that sells stuff wholesale, and most all wholesale is junk, or near enough. You know, swap meet stuff. TheWholesaleHouse is one such establishment. They sell audiopipe.
Regardless....put them in a nice box built just for them and they should sound great, and do it well for some time. Most subs are forgiving in that fashion......all in the install.

Those companies make a single good product. A sub or amp. You'd need to shop elswhere to find a comparable tweet or midrange then go somewhere else to find an amp then somewhere else to get your wires. Sure it's all good stuff but JL as a company makes top shelf products across the board. That's not my opinion that is fact. Any designer can come on the scene with a very good no name product. With no marketing and no one buying their product they go the way of the dinosaur or go to work for a company with an established reputation. So in that respect marketing and presentation has a lot to do with the performance of a product.

Also that 14.4 is under optimal conditions I understand. Also with the 14.4V across the board there will be a level playing field for all manufacturers to go by. No more pie in the sky RMS and MAX watt propaganda floating around (sony). You've seen it...1200 WATT Xplod for 149.99!!! GTFOH !
