Overheating with Preditor Programer
Any good radiator shop can check the cooling system and find the problem. It can be anything from a tiny crack in a radiator or heater core that only opens and leaks when it gets to operating temperature to a small hose leak or a head gasket improperly installed at the factory.
These tiny leaks are the hardest to find. You might stop the problem by using a radiator addative/sealant. My wife had a new car once that had a defective head gasket that took 4 years and 60K miles before it got big enough to find it.
also, change ur air filter. preferably to a higher flow unit like a K&N(summit makes a sweet one that slides right in ur stock box for 79 bucks [its less than a factory one]). that will bring ALL ur temps down, and do the zoodad mod. (cut an opening in front of the air intake inlet. if u pull up the plastic/rubber horizontal cover behind the grille, on top of the core support, u will see the major restriction. the intake snorkel basically butts up against the back of the grille plate.
look in tim lamkin's gallery for pics of his "zoodad" mod....
and tell the tech u want a new thermostat. make him put it in there.
u could also have a partially plugged cat from the soot from ur chip. take it off, punch all the crap out of it, and put it back on. just use a crow bar and a hammer and chunk it out.
