I have a question: Does getting ink done on Oscar Meyer deaden the sensations when, well, you know when. Just wondering since I'm looking to get a tat but don't want the folks knowing about it. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Greg
SOCOM: You should keep in mind that a tat will scab over for a week or two. So as far as scabbage and shrinkage go, I don't think that would be a good thing.
What has been said by everyone has been correct. If you are worried about it just make sure it is somewhere that shorts and a t shirt would cover. Most people no adays are getting a little better on accepting them as long as they are decent tats. As no nudes, cussing, drug or booze related, racist remarks. Things like that it also depends on which part of the country you live in.
As to why people peremently place ink into their body. One simple reason they want to. They are choosing to make a permament expression of themselves. Unfortuently alot of people pick bad things to be put into their body. They are showing who they are more than any outfit could ever. As to piercings it goes much along thesame lines. They want to express themselves and this is how they are choosing to do it. Personally I have a 2 gauge hole in each ear. That is wire gauge if you want to check how big that is. These holes will close if I ever choose to take them out. I personally feel that I will not remove them. This may change in some odd years, but I don't know that yet. All I know is that the mods I have and have had have given me alot more confidence in myself. That's why I do it I just don't feel complete without these adornments and they help me to feel better about myself.

That painful job would have to be performed by a female artist. Just the thought of a male artist doing it is sickening.

HAHA...allI can say though is ouch.
A tip on what to decide to get a tat. I had one constumm designed. They drew it up, added color to it, and turned it into a temp tat. They placed that on my shoulder blade for a week. I decided it was NOT what I wanted. good choice. If they had not done that I would still have a drawing of MAXX from MTV oddities on my shoulderblade. Instead, I have the head of an eagle with a red/white/blue banner under it with U.S.A. on it. to tell you the truth..I have not seen my tatoo in about 6 months or more.....I RARELY ever remember it is there, only when someone says something about it. I can honestly say that until this thread I had forgotten I had one.
I am wanting to get another though. The star and striped crossed with the Southern Cross (conf Battle Flag) with something inscribed under it. I may put that on my right bicep. Anotehr I am thinking about is something like an eagle clawing through my back, and behind the tear marks in my skin you see the flag....problem is how do I do it so it is not appearing as the flag is what is being torn up.....still need to get a good rendering of that one.
i.e. get something that will describe you. And you wont mind telling your grandma when she asks what that thing is on your shoulder.

Friend of mine has his "Oscar Meyer" done, says it doesn't affect anything at all.
I am a diesel technician and have several Tats already, and am getting more tomorrow. Two are on my forearms and my boss has no complaints. I don't really think many employers in my field would mind. I'm usually covered in grease and dirt anyways.
Also helps that I work on semi trucks, lots of people that drive them have tats as well, I don't think they mind them.
There are lots of people with tats on them in this country.
