How do I tell the difference between a 400 and a 351? Every time I open the hood on one they all look the same and have a sticker on the valve cover saying 351/400m.
your are looking at the engine family if you are seeing 351m/400 there will be another section on the sticker that will say displacement, and it will have one or the other on it without looking at one right now I think it is to the right of engine family.
My truck doesn't have the sticker on it anymore, thats the first place I looked. The VIN says it should be a 351M but the previous owner swears its a 400. I'm inclined to believe him since the carb is from an automatic tranny and I have a 4 speed. How would I tell short of pulling the oil pan?
Thats what I thought. I am not near as familiar with the 351M/400 as I am with the FE engines. I've got to replace the rear main seal on this engine anyway so I'll figure it out then.
weight and string na na na it hangs..
i am thinking 8/32 and monofiliment with a glued knot
wht do you think any one got one of both for experimentation???
i read that on bubba's sight too
oops na na na on me just thought only would work parked sideways on a 30* slope(think this is a 60* engine) it will just ride the clyd wall otherwise
so it kinda might work in the right condions
