After a huge rain storm here, the connector that plugs into the alternator melted, I assume the water and electric didnt mix well.. The alternator itself looks good.
1> is there a way to test the alternator without this connector plug?
2> can i buy the entire connector/wiring and just replace the one that is damaged??
They sell those connectors at auto parts stores as well since they tend to melt down and/or catch on fire. Check Ryan's site for harnesses for doing a 3G swap that'll eliminate that connector.
Easiest fix is to either like the guy said before just go to your local auto parts store and get a new connection or just go to a junk yard and just clip the connection off with a good 6 inches of wire with it and just connected it to your vehicles original altenator wire.
