That'd work, too bad Houston is so flat. Guess I could back up on ramps.
Thanks for the tip about the driveshaft being in the way. I got around it ok, but I just figured I'd utilize a universal joint on the extension next time.
I checked oilguard's site for an aluminum cap, but I didn't see it.
How do you guys dispose of the fuel you've drained from the HFCM? I mean the little bit I caught in the bottle. I think there's a good gallon soaked up in the t-shirt I was wearing.
um well... I live in the middle of nowhere so I just put mine in an old can add some paper and burn it off
yeah my gf's parents live up in Plymouth NH in the middle of nowhere and when i go up her father just burns everything out in an old 55gallon drum all the papper goods and everything else that will burn safe you know. its nice to just walk out back and do that , we are down here in Sunny Fort Lauderdale FL. out west on 1 acre can burn stuff but to much and the fire depo shows up
The used diesel makes "Roundup" look like "Miraclegrow". I use it on weeds in the driveway, and mix it with gasoline and used motor oil to start brushpiles when I'm clearing land. One third of each makes a very impressive "whoooosh" when lighted.
Hey, I live in the outskirts of Houston also...just FYI, parking at the end of my typical residential driveway, backed in, with my front tires near the street, gives my truck enough of a downward slant to do the job easily. Also, whoever suggested that diesel does 10x better than Roundup was right!!! Not that I would EVER suggest doing that for fear of the EPA police
My driveway's so flat, it barely was enough grade to activate the surge brakes on my boat trailer. Really it wasn't the grade, but the bump at the street that would set them off. Pool tables have more terrain relief than my neighborhood.
Yeah, I wasn't asking the question about disposal to get anybody in trouble. I was honestly curious. It appears if I let it sit uncovered, my disposal issue will evaporate itself away.

Hope the quote police don't come after me.
Yup, Houston is short on grades. My friendly neighborhood Korean owned Texaco is more than happy to let me dump anything I want into their used oil tank.
