My 79 f150 seat has about 5 major ravines right where my ravine goes. It is not a pleasant thing. Having a real hard time trying to locate a replacement bench. Any ideas for where to get one of these or good options?
You can use a bench seat out of a newer Ford (80's) or may even find a good deal on a 40/60 split, maybe something with a center console . . . in any event they'll bolt right up.
You have a few options on this . You could go new aftermarket.(dont forget your check book, or credit card) Or start searching your local salvage yards. finding a good bench seat can be tough. I had a set out of a 92 F-150 in my 75 F-250. I just swapped the seat sliders from my 75 seat onto the 92 seat.
The seat I had in that truck was great. It was gray cloth, with the pickup head rests , the fold down arm rest, and the factory front mount cup holder.
I just picked up a new seat for my 78. I got a gray LEATHER smitybilt seat from summit racing its a 3 pc set up and is realy comfortable but they are a little pricy after you buy the seat and the bracket for the truck its a little under $800 (I had $50 in tax because I go to summit because their local) But its worh it because its real comfortable and you sit up high.
Tastyklair - oooops, looks like my site needs a little bit of maintenance!!...they are "suppossed" to be pictures of a leather 40/60 bench seat I installed a few years ago. They came WITH the install kit - total changeover time was about 45 minutes - no sweat.
I'll do some work on the web page this weekend, I promise.....
I did the same as dynamic, got a seat from a '91 XLT - it has head rests, fold down arm rest and only cost $150 in perfect shape. Any F series bench seat will fit from '73-'96. Just use your adjusting rails on the new seat.
