i noticed on my 75 390 ehaust manifolds that there is some sort of drilled hole which does not go all the way through the top of the header is this for a temp gauge it is original

JMO...I think it would probably be a heat sensor that would run to the choke to let the Carb know when the motor was warming up? Not familiar with 75s..but just my guess as I have seen some setup that way....Russ

RapidRuss is correct. I asked about the same thing the other day. There are 2 copper tubes comming off my manifold leading to the carb. Exactly where I haven't looked closley at yet. Same engine, same year.
