91 302 overheating
what can it be new rad. water pump. thermostat. water will not circulate in rad. no air in motor. the one thing i see is that the water punp turns to the left not the right like most was told that the newer ones do that do not know. about 40 min. to over heat it tryed to drive it but gets to hot .no one can tell me what is wrong any help would be good thanks

It could be the water pump. Did you replace the pump then notice that is overheated? It could be a reverse pump. OR, did you put your thermostat in backwards? That would do it too. The spring of the thermostat goes INTO the engine. Good luck!

Thermostats an easy check. Take it out. If water circulates then it's either faulty or was installed wrong. Solution install correctly or buy a new one.
The waterpumps are not interchangeable. The reverse rotation pumps have a different bolt pattern. If it bolted up, it's the right one.
