Fuel pressure regulator question???
Please...........Scan for CODES! Stop guessing things and assuming things. There are few things that aid cold or hot starting condition that you may not suspect it.
and.....please read this carefully!
when removing the F.P relay, you just turn the Fuel pump off! the motor will continue to run when there is available fuel left inside the manifold and cylinder head .
When the injector or injectors are sticking open, you'll dump unneccessary additional fuel when you're trying to start the engine but it'll perform fine once the motor is running...aka relay plugged back in.
and...
cat converter does not have anything to do with fuel pump relay. all I said a clogged converter is a possiblities. If the converter is clogged you'll have tough time starting the engine.
You did dump raw fuel due to faulty Fuel pressure regulator and cat converter gets clogged easily when you're running too rich and raw fuel left in exhaust system.
here's other thing that I only go by what you said.
By the way...you claim that the motor runs fine when the relay is plugged back in, then why don't you give it a quick test drive to see how the motor perform????????????
anyway, I said it before and I'll say it again....
