'91 Explorer Window and Electrical Issues

Okay, long story short.

Started having problems controling the back windows on my '91 Explorer XLT. Could roll windows down from drivers seat but not up. Then one window died all together. No, 1 year later the other one will not stay up. Switched draw current but not motor sound.

To the chase. Is there a good online source of infomration such as electrical drawings & interior removal (door panel)?

'91 Explorer Window and Electrical Issues

You can get a Ford Electrical/Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual from Helm (www.helminc.com). They are not that expensive and will have all of the electrical diagrams for your vehicle. I have one for my '95 Explorer and it has easily paid for itself.

I am in the middle of the same problem on my 91 explorer. both rear windows will not stay up. one door has a motor that still works and the other doesnt. besides replacing the motor the cables that hold them up are broken and i hear they are fairly expensive from a dealer. hope this helps. -Kell-

I am havinf trouble with the web site that is suggested above.
However, I will keep working it.

I hope I don't mess up the door panel pulling it off to get to
the motor and cable.
