Early last week the dealer flashed the truck, same day I installed the predator afterwards for the very first time. Ran great, awesome, incredible shifting, no hard knocking or slamming when doing so. 2 days later went back to stock just to show a friend the diference. Ever since installed predator again and cannot get rid of harsh shifting when flooring it. I have gone through more cold starts than required. I have also Put back the original again, put the predator back in, done the more than five cold starts and still the same. Any thoughts? Also when going back to stock what does "force" mean? Also I'm hearing a sucking/release noise when in idle, when moving either with a/c on or off.

And yeah lost the pilot injection!!!!!!!!!!
When u first boot the predator (plug it in !) watch the version number that comes up..
I think they are on version r34e or something like that --- sounds like you have an older software version.... the shifitng is SLICK on mine and you're the first in a LONG time that has an issue with shifting...
(and u can update it from the diablosport.com website....)
The sucking noise is the a/c compressor and clutches kicking on and off with the switch. That is a normal symptom.
You may need to put the program back in and drive it hard for about 500 miles. The transmission needs to relearn its driving techniques every time you load a new program. The number of "cold starts" is irrelevant, it needs logged miles to relearn its shift pattern.
The funny thing is that when i drive it hard with the tow/haul mode on it shifts perfect. when driven hard with it off it stinks. BTW i'm running the 65 hp mode.
Odd Robert... I have been driving in the 65HP for about 4 months now and it shifts perfectly ???? I have the Dec 03 flash, which one do u have /
Same here. Same flash. Early 03. Running the 65 HP mode shifts smooth for normal driving. I don't get on it that often. It shifts a little firm when I do.
The truck was flashed early june 2004, I'm guessing it is the latest flash. I remember seen something on the predator that the current flash [prior to predator install] was May 2004.

Try clearing your transmission computer by disconnecting the batteries for a minute or so. Let it go through the learn cycle as described in the owners manual. Every now and again these things get corrupted like your PC.
