2000 Explorer stalling out

2000 Explorer 4.0 auto stalling out around 1500 -2000rpm under acceleration motor dies (but nothing else quits)and then comes back any help would be great..............Thanks Bigred

I have the same problem with my 1999, I can't say what the problem is because it happened to my wife, when she got it home it ran great. any idea's?
