Anyone know what tool I need to remove the bolts that hold the bed down? I wish to remove the front two closest to the cab in order to hold down a toolbox. I thought they were Torx bolts but none of the Torx bits I have fit (either too big or too small).
Torx 50 worked although a bit loose. I went out and got a T-55 size to see if that was the missing part but it was too big.I used a very extension to avoid shearing off my knuckles and a 3/8" drive breaker bar. Some downward pressure and slow turning broke them free without and damage at all. I tested on one closer to the tailgate that I don't plan on using to hold down my toolbox in case I did damage it but I didn't. I just didn't want to put any further holes into the bed when mounting the toolbox so I used what is already there. Only problem know is getting the holes threw the drop in bedliner I'm having installed this weekend. Anyone know if these bolts are used to hold in the bed liner (if not I'll need to back them out)??
