I just swapped out the 2 barrel manifold for a 4 barrel manifold on my 360 motor and need to change out the kickdown setup to a cable setup.
I have gotten a cost through Summit Racing for around 75.00 before shipping for a Lokar unit.
I found this on E-Bay
and was wondering if anyone here has had any luck with using any of the kits from this place?
Sounds like it might be worth it for approximately 1/2 the cost.
Just looking for imput. Don't want to spend money on useless parts.
Thanks, Ken
I kept seeing these on ebay too but didn't like the idea of "Lokar like". I'm not saying they're bad but Lokar uses the tephlon coating and all that good stuff to keep it running smooth forever. With these guys they don't mention any of that so who knows. I bought a Lokar kickdown for a C6 off ebay for $50 so if you keep an eye out you can find them. Proeliator on this board had one he was getting rid of because he converted to a manual tranny. I'll check if he still does and PM you later when I find out.
I was wondering the same thing about the quality of their product.
Can't tell what it is like until you see it in person.
Don't want to get to that point and find out it is junk.
I still have it. E-mail or pm me and I'll cut you a break. The consensus has been that its better to spend a little more on the Lokar than go with a ripoff.
