custom drop receiver hitch
I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get a custom drop hitch. I am using my stock towing package which should be a class III. My truck is lifted high and a 11" drop is not enough. I will not be pulling anything that heavy, just a few motorcycles on a trailer. Does anyone know such of a place that sells, or can make one? Think i would need something around 15-16 inch drop. Thanks in advance!

You might try a local machine or welding shop and see if they can custom make you one. You might also try talking to a local truck accesory store, as they might know people within your comunity that could help you.

Aside from a custom made ballmount like you mentioned, I have seen pintle hitch plates that drop pretty low. Check out www.thetowzone.com to see what they have there. Remember that the lower you drop the ball, the lower the capacity of the ballmount, typically.
