C6 yokes
Did C6 transmissions come with both slip yokes and non-slip yokes? If so, can a non-slip yoke transmission be switched over to a slip yoke? I don't want to run a 2 piece driveshaft in a 2wd shortbox truck.

The C6 comes both ways. You can convert your bolt-on type trans to a slip-yoke but you need to locate a donor trans for the parts. You need to change the mainshaft out since the bolt-on style is (a) shorter and (b) uses a coarser spline than the slip-type.A haynes "Ford C4/C6/AOD" manual is a handy item to have.
This is a good time to rebuild the trans, since you'll have it scattered all over the bench anyway.
