I just had the windshield and back window weather stripping replaced in my 57. The glass shop pros cut the glass out of the rubber while the glass was still in the truck.
Thanks all. I guess there are a lot of ways to tackle this. My truck came from Arizona and all the rubber is like cement. Might try a combination of the chisel and Dremel to get all the seals out. I don't think I can salvage the glass anyway.
IF the glass is decent and you want to keep it. I would coat the seal with silicone and let it sit a few days it will help soften the seal. Also you can use Piano wire to cut out the window if need be.
