I'm trying to get up underneath the dash to install my alarm.. (99 PSD) I need the lower center panel removed (The panel that houses the cup holder, cubby hole, and ashtray) I got the bottom free, but I can't get the top free (Where it joins with the simulated wood) Can anyone help me out?
Mykro, Have you removed the guage cluster panel yet? you must remove it first so you can get to 2 screws under that panel. You need to first pull out the radio, there are 2 screws that hold the guage cluster panel on above where the radio mounts then I belive it just unclips. I should tell you I am getting the info from a 2000 Ford service cd 99 should be the same. I was looking into removing that panel when I was hooking up a trailer brake controller. I wanted to remove the panel to dril a hole in the back of the pocket to run the brake controller wires through. After seeing the Ford service cd I decided to drill with it still in the truck. Sorry for rambling on. I hope this info helps. Later. Dave

Going by the service cd the 2 screws are located at the left and right edges of the lower panel you are trying to remove. The 2 screws that hold the upper panel are above the radio. Once the upper panel is loose you will see the other 2 screws. Good luck. Dave
