one time i went 15000 miles on a set of middle priced pads then changed and got a set of wagner pads and they have lasted so far 30000 miles. hope this helps they cost about $75 if i remember right and that was on my old pickup
OE pads got changed out at 45k w/ Raybestos Silver. Just replaced them today. They were not worn out but my rotors had warped. The best thing about the Raybestos??? Walked out of Advance with brand new pads w/o paying a penny!
Let me tell a little bit more about mine;at 64k miles Ford replaced OE pads and the OE rotors did not need turning. At 80k miles I replaced the OE rear shoes, hardware, and turned the drums.Went back with all Wagner parts. At 100k miles, two weeks ago,I replaced the front pads, which still had a safe 10k miles left on them, and went back with Wagner pads. The OE rotors still did not need to be turned! My braking system works great!
