Question Help!!

Hello All,
I have a 03 F250 SD CC 5.4. I would like to upgrade the exhaust, air filters, and get the chip for it. Is this possible and anyone have a suggestions on what brand to choose from K&N, Banks etc. Also I do want to go dual exhaust now would I have to buy another cat converter to keep this thing leagal? This is a first time for this and a Ford. Would I get more towing power by doing this? Thanks for your time and help!

I would suggest just getting the K&N of Fram AirHog filter and using the stock air intake unless you get one that actually pulls cool air from the fenderwell.
If it is a 2wd, I think you can cut the Y pipe behind the converters and run true duals back from there. This way, you will not need to buy another converter. The muffler shop that installed my Flowmaster and dual tailpipes said that he could do that on my 2001 F150 5.4L 4x4, but I didn't really see a lot of benefit from it because the drivers side pipe will be a lot longer than the passenger side because you still have to cross over to get around the gas tank.
I used a Flowmaster # 430402 That has a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets and ran my pipes out the rear on either side of the trailer hitch. This way it clears the hitch and the spare tire is still accessable.

The biggest thing to increase power is to get a Programmer for the computer.
Diablo has a great new one out that can do all kinds of good stuff.

I went and read about the predator. It kinda looks complicated to use or is it? I'm still debating getting something to increase hp a tad, but I would rather have something I could just plug in and be done with. Do you have to make your own settings with the predator or is it set for your particular engine? And that Fram Air Hog.. does it make that much of a difference? I was looking at one a couple days ago and ended up just replacing the stock filter.

They do flow more air than a paper filter. The biggest benifit is that you will never have to buy another air filter. It is cleanable and reusable. It will save you money over the years.
