Bones

My girlfriend does not believe me that "Bones" is slang for money. Am I wrong, or can it be used as slang for money?

Well Farmer,
I've never heard of Bones but I guess that along with beads, trinkets and others would certainly qualify.

yea bones, like you owe me 20 bones, that is a slang for money

Absolutely. I grew up in New Mexico and that was just about the only term we used for money. Yes, Bones = Money in my opinion.

We usually use that term when talking about dominoes, but yes I have heard it used when referring to cash!
