The size of those swather tires are 21.5 - 16.1 which translates to approximatley 41 inches tall by 21 inches wide, and i believe that the rim size was i believe 18 inches but you can get those tires on 16.5 rims.

I think that would be an awesome combo. With the gearing on the Rockwells you should be good to go with a 50" tire. If you're running tractor tires and can find something for a 20" rim talk to Stazworks. I'm not terribly familiar with the tractor tire sizes, I know 24" rim is common but other than that I have no clue. Anyhow if you find 20" rimmed R1's Staz makes rims with the Rockwell bolt pattern. Are you planning on a 4 link suspension or will you go leaf?

Do me a favor and keep us updated on your finds and progress. I've been very interested in doing something similar but haven't been able to find much info anywhere. I would like to run a 42-44" tractor tire for mud bogs.

My opinion, if you're planning to use this just for mud (I'd imagine so because those tires and sitting up that high would be a nightmare on the trails) is to stick with the leaf springs. They'll be more stable, easy to set up and it will allow you to fine tune one thing at a time instead of having a hundred new joints and angles to fight with while you work out all the bugs. If you ever decide you want to 4 link it later you can but it's a lot of work and messing around to get it built and get the angles right. 4 link is cool for articulation but that's not going to be so important here. The reason I asked is a lot of guys who go to something as drastic as Rockwells will build a 4 link suspension.

run propane, and you can kill two birds with one stone. hella-cool blower & uber high compression......and you can run upside down.
