Ocasionally, the clutch pedal went to floor without rebound back, hard to shift at time. No visable fluid leaks in master or slave (fluid level does not decrease over time). Shifting is better in the morning after sitting on the drive overnite, and progressively getting worse in term of shifting.
Hello, I have a 92 f150 5sp with a m5od. My truck feels about the same way right now. Peddles getting sticky and it takes finess to shift. All fluids are fine. Its getting to the point where im getting scared to drive it. I have replaced my tranny about 40 k ago and have since done the master and slave at differant times. I have also had to do my 1st/2nd shift fork twice and third fourth once on the tranny since the rebuild.
Honestly, to avoid getting stuck somewhere you might want to overhaul the clutch system now. I got stuck twice with issues related to the M5OD clutch setup. If you have over 100,000 miles, I would replace the clutch master and slave cylinder at the same time. Be sure to get a master cylinder with an all metal pushrod - the factory one is plastic and metal, and if it breaks you're stuck. If $ is an issue, I think Ford makes a replacement pushrod that is all metal - you can retrofit this into your master cylinder. And I'd guess the primary culprit of the stuck pedal is the slave cylinder. That's the way mine failed. I just wanted to warn you about some other gremlins in the system.
So, Do you think if I replaced the pushrod with anew one now it might fix it? I know of the gremlins you speak of. My truck went great for 150 k km then I got into a pretty good fender bender. After that my drive line went to the poops. First my tranny went. Then I replaced it and within a month or so the master went. Being the idiot that I am I only replaced the master and about a month after that the slave went. Now in there somewhere I aslo went back in and replaced 1-2 and 3-4 shift forks and then replaced the 1-2 fork again. Now since the first tranny rebuild I have only put 30k km on my tuck. Now it feels like the clutch is going to go again. I just dont know what to do. I think that when I got in that accident something might have got a little twisted.
