Ok, Aero is acting weird (3.0 Auto, shorty, a4ld, 1993)
I started it up, and the oil light comes on. I turn it off, check the oil, it's at a good level, the oil pressure guage is reading in the normal range, but the light is still on. It's also trying to stall on me. I haven't checked the vacuum lines, but the oil light thing has confused me... any ideas?
bad sensor or bad connection probably. if there is a lot of oil buildup on the connection , i would take a can of electrical parts cleaner and spray it down good
my "check oil" light acts up too, usally when the oil need changing - I always check the level, and it always fine. I think of it as a "CHANGE OIL" light!
Hmmm... checked out the connection on the side of the oil pan, looks like the abrasion resistant sleeve is pulling back, so I may have to replace. Can't quite reach it now and the jack is temporarily out of commission. Anyone know what kind of connector that the oil sensor plug is? Does it just pop on and off, or is there some tool for it?
