E 4OD slow moving

I have a 1993 F 350 4x4 with a E 4OD, when I 1st start up and put it in gear it takes a "heavy foot" for the truck to start moving. After that 1st time it works normal the rest of the day, any suggestions?

Just a wild guess (but does bump you back to the top too): Torque converters drain down partway after the engine is shut off for a while. Overnight would be the biggest time period. But normally you fire up and go with no problem, so I wonder if the pump that fills your torque converter is weak or a line is partly clogged. I am thinking that would make the initial fill slow causing your difficulty, but still could maintain the torque converter filled after the initial filling. Also, how fresh is your tranny fluid. I assume you checked that it is at the correct level on the stick after about 15 miles driving.
