'99 Powerstroke - Code 1271 High to low side open

'99 Powerstroke - Code 1271 High to low side open

At a little over 400,000 miles my '99 F350 PSD is giving a Code 1271 - "High to low side open" for cyl #1

Does anyone know if this problem is likely with the injector or the wire harness?

400,000 miles on a '99!?!? You must do a lot of driving! Good to hear it's still running after that many miles (except for the code), you must maintain it well!

Can't take credit

I wish I could take credit, but I bought the truck last December from a guy who delivered RVs. He wasn't concerned about keeping his DOT log book up, but he did change the oil every 5000 miles as well as use a stepped up maintenance schedule on the transmission. The auto tranny has never been overhauled and doesn't miss a lick.

Now I just need to fix this code 1271.....
