shock/steering arm interference

shock/steering arm interference

on the driver side the shock and the sterring arm are pretty close ,but when there is suspension travel it hits,the shock is already with the body upwards and there is a dent on it from when it was mounted with the body downwards.is there any aftermarket arm or any trick to fix this?

i have a half ton but on mine the shock is mounted behind the axle and the steering arm is in front of it.

yes on mine the shock is behind too but is barely 1 1/2" from the shock rod.

Look to see if the "stop bolts" are intact. Most likely they are not.

yes they are intact,i guess i could unscrew it more to gain clearence,but will loose some turning radius.

i think i solve the problem i took the upper shock mount from its original location an move it 2" to the right where the motor mounts are and screw it there,the distance between holes is the same.
