Check Engine Light On...No Codes Showing
After I drive my 1999 F-250 for awhile and then stop and restart, the check engine light comes on and the truck acts as if it is starving for gas. It will not go. I tried checking the codes, and nothing shows up. After letting the truck cool for about 15-20 minutes, it cranks and runs normal.
Find a shop that has a scanner called AutoXray or something of that sort. They hook that scanner up while driving and that should pluck an abnormal sensor reading when the light flashes.
Normally, when the light just turns itself off, it's one of those momentary bad sensor readings, but yours evidently is beyond that.
