This Monday is Different!

I am at work right now, being as productive as always, I might add. I realize that this Monday is different than many of the recent Mondays I've had lately. This monday is the start to the week I take some leave. This will be my second leave from work this year. My leave starts on Thurs and ends on the 9th of July. I plan to mostly do things around the house. I had a traveling vacation the first time, this one's more of a time away from work.

Is anyone else planning on taking some vacation time soon?

Once the wifey pops, I'm taking FMLA leave until 7/11, then working from home the remainder of the month, taking care of baby and trying to get to know my new creation.

I'm taking the same exact vacation, 7/1 thru 7/9. I also don't have any hefty vacation plans. I'm mostly looking forward to sleeping in, relaxing, and no stressing out with work stuff. Not to knock it, but work has been extremely busy, and I need a breather before I burn out.
I can't wait!

I'm in the same situation as you. We're due on July 12th, but our daughter is already about 8 lbs. I'm planning to take off 6 weeks when she arrives. Looking forward to that time off, for sure!

We're taking a vacation soon. I'd say that I need one, but I'm 23, the only thing I need is a girl and a beer, but vacations never hurt. I think we're going to Antigua, anyone ever been? The people I'm going with along with myself have come up with a plan that consists of one person making all of the plans, announcing that there's a vacation for all of us coming up in a month or so, telling us 4 days from departure what to pack, climate-wise, and we don't find out where we're going until the plane takes off or we get on the highway. It's gonna be nice to get some downtime, wherever we go!

I have to work on Friday (7/2) & Saturday 7/3) at my warehouse job because I am the low man on shift there and could'nt get them off, but I am taking Wed & Thurs of the next week off (July 7 and 8), and won't be back in until the 12th of July.

No travel plans... my girlfriend is coming to stay with me and we are going to work on some "home improvement" projects that she's decided I've put off too long. And depending on the weather, I might get some hay cut and baled.

We're not sure of the gender. Wanting a surprise for the first one, heck, maybe even the rest of 'em too. Everyone seems to think it's a boy because of the way she's carrying it, but we won't honestly know until the kid says hello.

Just finished up 3 weeks of vacation so I've got to pretend to work for a few days. I'm going to take off for a while in August though. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy . . .
