Not dumb at all - 2 1/2" diameter.
Now, when you get to the "Y" pipe, that's a nightmare (An engineer had a nightmare, woke up and sketched it out before he had the chance to forget it. It's either that or the devil made him do it.)

Does this apply to newer years as well like 2003? So before the Y 2 1/2" and from Y to muffler 2 1/2" and after muffler 3"? I was told that on my year 2003, the pipe from muffler out was 3 1/2"?

sweet, glad that is straight now, thanks to everyone that replied, now, what muffler should I run? I know, kinda open ended right? I want loud but not annoyingly so. Any comments? thanks guys, Judd
