Just outside of Cincinnati there's a place called Jungle Jim's that has the largest assortment of hot sauces this side of the Mississippi for sale. He's been on the food network. As a former chef who did a tour with mexican food for awhile, I can tell you that once you get used to it, hot sauce ain't all that hot. When you get away from it for awhile, it really kicks your a**!
Likewise, the Navy warped me.. If it moved on the tray, you stabbed it.. If it was already dead, you covered it w/ Hot Sauce
I usually grab the green Tabasco (Jalapeno), but lately have been using tons of Bulliards Hot Wing Sauce on everything from eggs to salad.. Great taste & not much fire..
in my opinnion insanity sauce is the best there is I'm not much on tobasco or pete's or any of the sauces that are mostly vinegar like that and of course theres nothing like a good Habanero straight from the feild
everything I eat just about is hot and spicy cant stand bland food have to have some zip to it
I love hot sauces and spicy food but I doubt anyone really enjoys Dave's insanity sauce. A friend of mine put a teaspoon in a big bowl of jambalaya one time and after two bites he had to order to order something else. I figured I would give a shot and after one bite I never touched it again. After drinking everything in sight, we spent the next 15 minutes sweating in disbelief.
Anything even half as hot as Dave's is purely for bragging rights.
I have been trying out a sauce called La Victoria. It is more like a hot catsup as it is thicker than Tabasco sauce. It is very flavorfull with a bite that creeps up on you...I like that!
I'm also not big on vinegar-based sauces. My favorites are made by Religious Experience http://www.thewrath.com/ , they have a Habanero sauce named Apocalypse and a very hot salsa called the Wrath, very tasty and a good marinade ingredient.
I went and checked the bottle. The brand name is La Victoria and the sauce is called Salsa Brava. It is in a small catsup like bottle. Good stuff...really!
Just remembered: theres store that specialises in hot sauce near the Long Beach Aquarium, just up the road a way & out on that jetty thing where the HUGE bar is.
I'm into really hot food and love the hot sauces, but prefer to make my own. I bought a bottle of habenero (spelling?) pepper seed oil extract years ago that I still have. I had to sign 3 pages of documentation in order to buy it acknowledging that I knew what I was buying and that it "was not food or sauce." This is by far the hottest substance I have ever come across. When I make a huge pot of chili, I only use 4 drops of the stuff to spice up the entire batch. Those of you with weak stomachs, this IS NOT for you.

I like Tabasco for everyday. I've had Pico Pica (hot) Mexican sauce, good flavor and bite. The D'atil Do It is great but, haven't seen it lately here (SoCal). The Asian chili-garlic sauce found in Thai and Vietnamese restaurants and Asian markets is good also.
Several hot sauces are pretty good. Cayenne peppers are rumored to have some good health benefits.
I love Franks Red Hot too. I eat the stuff on saltines regularly. I think its more sweet than hot.
Tobasco is certainly the best for bloody mary's.
I used to eat anything hot......tellin cooks to fire it up, hot as they can.
That came to a stop for quite a while after eroding my stomach lining.
