Explorer died on me

Explorer died on me
I have a 98 Explorer, 4wd, 4.0L V6. I was changing the oil and the air filter. when I tried to start the car, it wouldn't start. If I give it gas while i'm starting, the car will start, but once i stop giving it gas, the engine shuts off. I get no "check engine" light while the car is running, only after the engine shuts off. I have tried changing the Throttle positiong sensor to no avail. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Explorer died on me
Sounds like your IAC (idle air control) soleniod is stuck closed. It is bolted to intake just behind the TPS sensor. Remove it and try running some carb cleaner through to loosen it up. If that dosen't work, just relpace it.
